As Executive Director, served as lead spokesperson for IAVA in the national media
and the organization’s primary liaison with Members of Congress and senior
Administration officials.

Established IAVA as the leading voice for America’s 2.2 million women veterans.
Played an integral role in the first-ever Presidential campaign “Commander in Chief
Forum” featuring now President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, co-hosted with
NBC, and viewed by over 15 million Americans during the 2016 election
 

Oversaw IAVA’s successful advocacy campaigns to “Defend the GI Bill,” which
blocked over $4 billion in cuts to veteran education benefits in the U.S. House and
Senate, and “Pay Them Back,” which reversed the Defense Department’s move to
claw back bonuses paid to California National Guardsmen.
 

Testified twice before Congress, led impact partnerships with noteworthy films such
as Dunkirk and War Machine and represented IAVA at thought-leadership events.
As Chief of Staff, also led a staff of 50; managed day-to-day operations; oversaw
production of IAVA’s annual policy agenda; and oversaw coordination for IAVA's
participation in U.S. Supreme Court amicus curiae briefs.
